Why are you asking for my real name and address when setting up virtual cards?

For virtual cards only, we ask you to enter your accurate and up-to-date legal identity information (name, residential address, and date of birth), and in some cases additional information such as an image of a government-issued driver license, to comply with US government regulations to limit the risk of fraud, money laundering and funding of terrorist activities.

Before you can use MySudo virtual cards, we verify your information with a third party provider.

To meet regulatory and compliance requirements, Anonyome Labs Inc. also retains the legal identity information you provide in the Sudo Platform. We use industry standard measures to protect this data, including limiting access to the data to only those people and systems with a strict business need. We encrypt this data when stored in the Sudo Platform.

Some MySudo capabilities, such as virtual cards and obtaining a UK phone number, have a regulatory requirement that we collect and verify your legal identity before you can use those capabilities. We only ask you to provide your legal identity information if you choose to use those capabilities. You can use other MySudo capabilities without providing your legal identity information.
