There are different Setting levels on your device and in MySudo that can affect the way your notifications are seen/heard.
This article walks through each notification setting at each level. A direct link about that setting has also been provided for more information.
Device Settings for MySudo
- Do Not Disturb: If enabled, you will not receive notifications for MySudo
- Time/Date: This should be set to Automatic to ensure notifications are received timely
- Contacts: If enabled, you can access your device contacts in MySudo to communicate
- Photos: If enabled, you can send MMS content through text and email
- Microphone: Should be enabled in order to make/receive voice and video calls
- Camera: If enabled, you can record and send MMS content through text and email
- Notifications: Ensure Allow Notifications is enabled to allow the MySudo in-app settings to function properly.
-MySudo notifications will reflect the Alert types you have setup as well as Sounds, Badges, and other Options. - Background App Refresh: (iOS) Ensure this is enabled to allow MySudo to regularly refresh to provide real-time notifications and updates
- Cellular Data: If enabled, MySudo will use your cellular data when Wi-Fi is not available
Global-level in-app Settings (affects all Sudo profiles the same)
- Calls
-Manage those you have Blocked from calling and messaging you
-Show Calls in Recents allows your MySudo call log to show in your device call log - Messages
-Send Read Receipts, when turned on, let people know when you've opened and read their messages. Only available with Sudo-to-Sudo messages. - Virtual Cards - iOS only
-View your active Funding Source being used to fund purchases made with your virtual card (available on paid subscriptions only)
-View any Closed virtual cards - Contacts
-Adjust the Sort Order for your contact lists (Last, First)
-Device Contacts Access: Gives permission for the app to access your contacts
-Private Contact Matching: Lets you find people you know on MySudo
-Discoverability: Tells your contacts on MySudo that you use the app too
-New Contact Notifications: Notifies you when someone in your contacts joins MySudo - Privacy
-Allow Anonymized Crash Reports and App Analytics

-If enabled, you'll receive helpful privacy tips, tricks, and news from Team Sudo.
*On some Android devices, you may stop receiving call, message, or email notifications if you have a lot of unread notifications in MySudo. You can clear unread notifications by tapping the Bell icon in the top right corner and tapping Clear All.
Individual Sudo-level Settings (affects the Sudo profiles individually)
- Set as Primary Sudo
-If enabled, will set that Sudo as the default for various features where sharing, communications, or security of the app require a Sudo profile. Your Primary Sudo will always appear in the first position of the Sudo switcher screen making it quick to access when switching Sudos. - Calls
-Record a customized Voicemail Greeting or set the Default greeting for incoming calls.
-Silence Unknown Callers: When enabled, will silence calls from unknown numbers and display them in your call log - Email
-Load Remote Images: when enabled, will automatically load images in emails.
-Disabling may increase your privacy but emails may appear incomplete - Message Notifications
-Receive Message Notifications: If disabled, you will not see any indication of a new text message unless you open the Sudo profile to view. Additionally the item will not appear in the Global Notifications screen.
-Show Sender and Message Previews: When enabled, you will see who is texting you with a short preview of the text message in a notification. If Receive Message Notifications is disabled, you will not see a preview.
-Sound of your incoming text message can be customized or None selected to silence a new message - Calls Notifications
-Receive Call Notifications: If disabled, you will not see any indication of an incoming call unless you open the Sudo profile to view the missed call/voicemail. Additionally the item will not appear in the Global Notifications screen.
-Show Caller ID: If disabled, will not allow you to see who is calling you
-Sound of your incoming voice call can be customized or None selected to silence an incoming call - Emails Notifications
-Receive Email Notifications: If disabled, you will not see any indication of a new email message unless you open the Sudo profile to view. Additionally the item will not appear in the Global Notifications screen.
-Show Sender and Subject Line when enabled, you will see who emailed you with a short preview of the email message in a notification. If Receive Email Notifications is disabled, you will not see a preview.
-Sound of your incoming email can be customized or None selected to silence a new email message
