This article applies only to a small number of MySudo users - If Team Sudo contacted you via text message about this issue, this article relates to you and only the phone number the text was sent to.
You have received this notification because one or more of the phone numbers in your MySudo account can no longer be provided to you due to increased restrictions imposed by one of our telephony providers, Twilio. This change is unrelated to your usage of MySudo.
We’ve moved (ported) most affected phone numbers to another one of our telephony providers, but unfortunately, it’s technically impossible to move your number.
While we understand that changing a phone number can be inconvenient, please know that these changes have not been taken lightly and are unfortunately unavoidable due to the restrictions mentioned above. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to provide you with the best possible service.
Your options:
- Reset the affected phone number. If the phone number is not used by you and is not associated with services you use, you can simply reset the phone number. We've already provided you the ability to do so at no cost to you.
- Tap the Sudo profile icon in the top left corner > under the selected Sudo profile, tap View details > tap Edit at the top > tap the trash icon next to the number and proceed to delete and obtain a new number
- Create a new Sudo and phone number. If the phone number is associated with services you use, you can create a new phone number on a different Sudo profile - we've already provided you the ability to do so at no cost to you. Then, update your contacts and services that use the affected phone number to now use the new phone number you provisioned. Once your services have been updated, delete the affected phone number from MySudo.
- Port your phone number out of MySudo. You can port the phone number to a different telephony provider.
- Do nothing. After numerous warnings, eventually your number will be automatically removed from your account.
If you encounter any issues or need assistance with your new number, our Support team is ready to help.
