Persistent non-existent notifications

I just moved MySudo from a REVVL6 Android 13 phone to a GrapheneOS Pixel 6 phone (based on Android 14). I used the support article on accessing mySudo from multiple devices to do so. It appeared to transfer over all MySudos properly, except on the GrapheneOS phone there is a red dot on the notification bell in the upper right, plus a red dot indicating two additional messages on the messages icon in the lower left, plus a red dot indicating two messages on a single of mySudo's (1 out of 9) on the "Select Sudo" menu, yet there is no new messages when I click on the notification bell or go to that single mySudo. I do not have Google Play Services installed in this profile, nor do I plan to install it given I am making a move to digital privacy.
It's a little frustrating. Any thoughts on how to resolve this?
