Keep history when changing phone number or email

When I change an email address or number I'd love to be able to keep the history. Is there are way to do that already?

  Yeah it would be great if there was a way to export your history or archive in some way.  Whenever I change a phone number, I note down the old number on the back of the Sudo card in the notes.  That way if for ever reason I need to recall that old number I know I have at least got a record of it.....
