No way to recover mysudo account with just the recovery password? Why?

I'm attempting to get mysudo account restored on an iPhone that was reset after an update gone wrong. It's the same device. It's the same Apple ID/ iCloud account. Something went wrong in the iCloud backup and it did not back up the device before the device was factory reset during an update gone wrong. When setting up the device again using the same Apple ID/iCloud, there was no app data backed up. When I install Mysudo again, I attempt to "import existing sudo info", but there's nothing to import, because iCloud apparently didn't back it up. I can't use the QR code thing obviously because this is the same device. I have a recovery password for this account. Why can't I use it in this scenario? Please help. This is a big functionality issue.

    @Alexandra, why not open a support ticket? I see a few post that you have written in the past few hours, direct support can be reached at support@mysudo.com.

    @Norman, thanks-- I have. It's languishing. Customer support for mysudo thru email and a lightly moderated user forum another big functionality issue.

    @Alexandra, I see. That is odd, they usually respond back very quickly. Don't give up, they are awesome. Fingers crossed you get your data back.
