You can easily access your MySudo account from multiple devices (iOS and Android) by importing/exporting your account to another device via QR code transfer.
On your second/new device:
- Install MySudo on your new device
- Tap Next/Create First Sudo on the 'The internet stole your privacy' screen
- Tap Import Existing Sudo Info on the 'MySudo can take it back' screen
- QR code will appear (ready to scan)
- ****Ensure the brightness is up all the way when the QR Code appears****
On your first/original device:
- Ensure you are running the latest version MySudo
- Tap the menu in the top left corner
- Tap Settings
- Tap Backup & Import/Export
- Tap Export to Another Device
- Scan QR code on the second/new device
Your MySudo security keys are transferred via the generated QR code to your 2nd device. Now you can access your original MySudo account on your 2nd device as well as your first device.
Please note: When importing to an Android, QR code transfers can take minutes depending on the amount of data that needs to be synced to your new device. Please be patient.
What if I accidentally installed/created a new MySudo account on my new device but wanted to access my original MySudo account?
In this case you you can override this new account with your original MySudo account by following the instructions below.
On your second/new device:
- Open MySudo
- Tap the menu in the top left corner
- Tap Settings
- Tap Backup & Import/Export
- Tap Import From Another Device
- ****Ensure the brightness is up all the way when the QR Code appears****
- Follow the instructions listed above for "first/original device" to transfer your original account to this second device.
Current Limitations:
- If you transfer your account from iOS to Android and are a US-based user, your virtual cards will not transfer as virtual cards are not yet available for Android
Please Note: The QR code regenerates every 50 seconds; if you take a picture of the code to use at a later time, your code will be void and will not work!
