It’s vital that you back up your MySudo account so you can restore it if you lose, damage, or replace your device. MySudo uses security keys stored only on your device, so those must be transferred or backed up.
You have three options:
1. iOS Device-to-Device Migration
Use Apple’s Quick Start to transfer data wirelessly from your old phone.
2. Import/Export via QR Code
Use the QR method to securely transfer your MySudo VPN account.
On your new device:
Install MySudo VPN → choose to import an existing account → a QR code will appear — set brightness to max so it scans correctly.
On your original device:
Make sure you are running the latest MySudo VPN version.
Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner
Tap Export to Another Device → scan the QR code shown on your new device.
Your security keys are transferred via the QR code, giving your new device access to your existing MySudo account. Both devices will now access the same account.
3. Using the MySudo app:
This method applies only if you have both MySudo VPN and the MySudo app installed on your device, as the apps share the same security keys.
The recovery process is performed within the MySudo app, not the MySudo VPN app.
