MySudo data is synchronized through Sudo Platform to allow it to be migrated to a new device if you upgrade to a newer model phone or lose your device and replace it. The synchronization is automatic as you use MySudo - no additional steps are required from you as a user. Sudo-to-nonSudo content in that data (SMS/MMS messages, voicemail recordings, email messages) is encrypted so that only you on your device can decrypt it.
Sudo Platform also retains knowledge of a deleted Sudo, email account, phone number, or handle for 24 hours after it is deleted. This is also for the purposes of ensuring consistency across multiple devices and backup/restore.
Server logs containing user request information are retained for 24 hours.
For the following MySudo user content and metadata, Sudo Platform stores the data in encrypted format for the periods displayed in the table below.
While stored in Sudo Platform, the MySudo data is encrypted so that it can only be decrypted by your private key on your device. Those private keys are never stored in Sudo Platform.
*User content is any information directly created by a MySudo user or a user they are communicating with in Sudo-to-Sudo or Sudo-to-nonSudo communications. For example, the subject and body of an email are user content, while the date/time sent and size of an email message are examples of metadata.
