Welcome to MySudo Password. Follow these steps to set up your account and keep your data secure.
The first time you open MySudo Password, you'll be guided through the onboarding process to set up your vault.
Once setup is complete, you'll use your master password to unlock your vault each time you return to MySudo Password.
1. Understand your passwords
Master password: Used to unlock your encrypted vault each time you open MySudo Password.
Backup/Recovery password: iOS only. Used to restore your backup if you lose, replace, or reset your device. Learn more about restoring a backup[link to backup article]
2. Create your master password
Your master password protects your vault and helps keep your data secure.
Use at least 10 characters.
Choose something strong and memorable.
Store it somewhere safe - it cannot be recovered if forgotten.
You can enable biometric unlock (Face ID or fingerprint) on mobile devices.
3. Save your secret code
Your secret code is created during setup and helps you add MySudo Password Manager to other devices and browsers.
Keep your secret code secure. You may need it when replacing/restoring your device, and setting up additional devices.
4. Download your rescue kit
Your rescue kit contains your secret code and space to record your account information, master password, etc.
We recommend downloading it, storing it securely offline, and keeping it available if you need to set up MySudo Password again.
5. Start using MySudo Password Manager
Once setup is complete, you’re ready to securely store and access your passwords.
