MySudo is not officially supported on GrapheneOS, but it can run with limited functionality. Some features may not work as expected, and MySudo Support cannot guarantee troubleshooting or resolution of GrapheneOS-specific issues.
We understand that some users choose GrapheneOS to reduce their reliance on Google and Apple services, and we’re exploring options for future support. While we don’t have a confirmed timeline, we’ll continue evaluating available options.
Requirements
Two devices:
- A device running GrapheneOS
- A supported iOS or stock Android device with MySudo already installed.
Setup
1. Set up MySudo on your supported device
- Install MySudo on the supported device from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- A subscription can be purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- If sandboxed Google services are installed on GrapheneOS, a subscription can also be purchased through Google Play on that device.
- If you already have an account and subscription, you can use your existing setup.
2. Install MySudo on GrapheneOS
Download and install the appropriate APK for your device:
3. Transfer your account
- Open MySudo on GrapheneOS and select Import existing MySudo account.
- On your supported device, open MySudo and go to Settings → Backup & Restore/Export → Export to Another Device.
- Follow the prompts to transfer your account using the QR code method.
Limitations
Without sandboxed Google services
When running MySudo on GrapheneOS without sandboxed Google services:
- Subscriptions: You cannot purchase subscriptions directly on GrapheneOS. You must purchase a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on a supported iOS or Android device and share it with GrapheneOS through the account transfer process.
- Push notifications and incoming calls: These will not work on GrapheneOS.
With sandboxed Google services
Installing sandboxed Google services may enable additional functionality:
-
Push notifications and incoming calls: Install Google Services Framework (
com.google.android.gsf) and Google Mobile Services (com.google.android.gms). -
Purchasing subscriptions: Install Google Play Store (
com.android.vending) to enable subscription purchases directly on GrapheneOS.
⚠️ MySudo is not officially supported on GrapheneOS. Installing these services does not guarantee that all features will work as expected.
