If you’re having trouble connecting to MySudo VPN, the issue may be related to your device, network, or location. The steps below cover common connection problems, including iOS-specific authentication messages.
iOS: “VPN Connection – Please enter your authentication information”
Some iOS devices may display the message: “VPN Connection – Please enter your authentication information” after restarting while connected to MySudo VPN. This is an iOS bug and not an issue with the MySudo VPN app.
To resolve this:
Do not enter a password when prompted; tap Cancel.
If the message appears again, launch the MySudo VPN app.
Go to Settings > Protocol and change the protocol.
On your iOS device, toggle Airplane Mode off.
Open and use the MySudo VPN app normally.
If the issue persists, contact Support for assistance.
General Connection Troubleshooting
If you cannot connect to a VPN server, try the following steps:
Ensure you are in a supported country.
Try connecting to a different VPN server location.
Check your antivirus or firewall settings; add exceptions for MySudo VPN.
Change the VPN protocol in the app settings and reconnect.
Test on a different device using the same network to rule out device-specific issues.
Make sure no other VPNs are active that could interfere.
Force quit and relaunch MySudo VPN.
Restart your device.
If all else fails, reinstall MySudo VPN.
Following these steps resolves the majority of connection issues.
