To recover your MySudo Password account when moving to a new iPhone or restoring a device, you must back up your account. MySudo Password uses security keys stored on your device, so these must be transferred to your new device.
You have three options:
iOS Device-to-Device Migration
Use Apple’s Quick Start to transfer data wirelessly from your old phone.
We still recommend creating a Recovery Password and backup as a precaution — see option 3 below.
Import/Export via QR Code
Use the QR method to securely transfer your MySudo Password account.
On your new device:
Install MySudo Password → tap I already use a MySudo Product
Import Existing Sudo Info → a QR code will appear — set brightness to max so it scans correctly.
On your original device:
Make sure you are running the latest MySudo Password version.
Open Password Settings → tap Backup & Import/Export → tap Export to Another Device
Scan the QR code shown on your new device.
Your security keys are transferred via the QR code, giving your new device access to your existing MySudo Password account. Both devices will now access the same account.
Recovery Password + iCloud/iTunes Backup
On your old device: Create a Recovery Password in MySudo Password → Backup.
Open Settings → tap Backup & Import/Export → tap Get Started

Set a Recovery Password
⚠️ Keep this password safe — it cannot be reset or recovered by the MySudo team.
Back up your device with iCloud or iTunes.
On your new device: Restore from backup → open MySudo Password → enter your Recovery Password.
Important
MySudo Password relies on security keys stored on your device to access your account. You must transfer these keys via QR code, Recovery Password, or encrypted iTunes/iCloud backup.
Entering your Recovery Password unlocks your security keys and allows MySudo Password to import your data.
We do not store your Recovery Password and cannot help recover it. Keep it safe.
If you skip restore, MySudo Password will create a new account on your device.
