If you’re having trouble creating or using MySudo Virtual Cards, this guide will help you identify and resolve common issues.
1. Why Can’t I Create a New Virtual Card?
Several reasons might prevent you from creating a virtual card:
You are not located in the US
You are on SudoFree, which does not include virtual cards. Upgrade to a paid plan to access this feature.
You have reached the maximum number of active virtual cards allowed under your paid plan.
You have already created 5 virtual cards in the past 24 hours.
We could not verify your funding source information. Double-check that you entered the card details correctly and try again.
2. Why Can’t the App Verify My Personal Information?
Check the following if identity verification fails:
Ensure all information is accurate and free of spelling errors.
Confirm you have a stable internet connection.
Your details must match government-issued IDs exactly (e.g., use "Chris" if that’s on your license, not "CJ").
You must be over 21 years of age to register.
3. Why Am I Having Trouble Registering My Debit or Credit Card?
Check the following if your funding source isn’t verifying:
Ensure your card details are entered correctly.
Prepaid cards are not supported.
Your card must be associated with your verified identity.
Only cards issued by US banks are supported.
User-to-user payment systems like PayPal, Venmo, or Western Union cannot be used. Cards issued by these companies are also not accepted.
If you’re connecting from an unfamiliar IP address or VPN, try a different location or disconnect the VPN while adding your funding source.
4. Why Can’t I Create Virtual Cards on My Second Device?
Because of backend server limitations with virtual card registration on multiple devices, you’ll need to transfer your MySudo account to your second device again to enable virtual card functionality.
To resolve this, re-transfer your MySudo account to the second device using the in-app QR code feature.
